Dunnage and Plastics

There are hundreds of different modern materials and dunnage configurations to chose from; RNR will advise on and create the combination that will work best for each application.

We understand that every item has its own particular dunnage requirements, in terms of size, shape, Shore hardness and even colour. Where ‘soft’ materials are required, we can draw from a wide range of suitable plastics (such as polyprop.), and related materials to give the right characteristics of protection and economical durability. Proven dunnage products such as Flutrex, Dolphtex, T-Board, Triburon and Seftex p.u. all have their special advantages where correctly specified. In other cases, dunnage can be formed in various metals, including stainless steel where its qualities of toughness and corrosion resistance are appropriate. We tailor and fabricate the dunnage to match the application precisely - it could use vacuum forming, pigeon holes, pocket and bag systems or other arrangements. To save space, we ‘nest’ parts in the most efficient way.
